Internet Communication

Internet and Communication in Science

Teachers can use blogs to facilitate communication with students as well as interactions with scientists. The following statement by Roblyer and Doering (2014) reflects the valuable role the Internet plays in communication.

The Internet also provides a medium for communication among scientists. Data can be emailed to researchers around the globe. Classroom teachers can also have scientists interact with students in their classroom via email, blogs, or by participating in webcasts, which are live video broadcasts of an event sent over the Internet. (p. 322)

Using technology as a tool for communication is a meaningful way for teachers to use the Internet in science education.  Therefore, we included a page to facilitate communication on our site.
