Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and The Scientific Method
Teaching with technology is most effective when a teacher has developed high levels of content, pedagogical, and technological knowledge. According to Koehler and Mishra (2009) Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) “is an understanding that emerges from interactions among content, pedagogy, and technology knowledge.” (p. 66) TPACK is evidenced in our site with integration of computer-based instruction, science concepts and skills, and teaching methodologies, such as cooperative learning and inquiry-based learning, that are known to promote understanding and performance. Specifically, this page uses an interactive presentation to teach the scientific method.
